our story

Flatline K9 was founded in 2019. Our humble beginnings began with just a few crates in a room at my parents’ house. From there, we expanded to a few pens in our garage, but the growing demand soon required us to take things further. We built a heated and air-conditioned kennel featuring multiple pens, along with a dedicated section for smaller dogs housed in crates. As our business continued to grow, so did the need for additional space. Today, we proudly operate a comprehensive training facility that includes an indoor training area, a conference room, offices, three dorm rooms, and a lounge, providing the best environment for the dogs and their handlers.

we are asked on a fairly regular basis where the name flatline k9 comes from. while we would love to give some big significant story the truth is it just kind of came to us. While talking on the phone one night while travis was in dog training school, discussing our future business we were brainstorming names for the business. travis threw out flatline k9 and it stuck. we felt it was a fitting name for our business since we have both worked in emergency medicine. we also thought a good slogan or catchphrase to go with it would be “bringing your dogs potential to life”. and with that flatline k9 was born.
